Independent Intavenshan are a 9 piece revolutionary roots reggae band from Utrecht. Writing and performing their own irie music with a conscious message at its core.
In the beginning there was earth, water, air and fyah !!!!! And so Independent Intavenshan was born. From the humble beginnings of a studio project with Ozzie Dee spitting his revolutionary lyrics to an awesome studio soundtrack. Ozzie realised he wanted to take this project to another level and slowly but surely live instruments were added one by one, finally to where they stand 9 strong on stage today.
With Sista F on bass, Bredda Simon on drums, Ital Angus on guitar, Mighty P on keys, Rootsman on alto and tenor saxophone, Rudie P on trombone, Natty RudegirLee as backing vocals, and Ozzie as Vocals.
With a rockers backbone, they deliver their own distinctive blend of top ranking roots & rub a dub.
