Farage’s Choice Morsels- “Christians,” and Gossiping Liars…

By Indybag

For people who run about the place raising flegs with so called christian crosses, Reform, Raise the Flag, Restore and the various capital R right wing groups seem to miss out massive chunks of the Bible that cut right through modern digital noise. Long before billionaires bought up social media networks and right-wing grifters started farming algorithmic engagement for cash, the book of Proverbs pinned down the exact psychological trick used by Farage, Yaxley-Lennon and their grifting hateful bros to manipulate working-class communities.

Proverbs 18:8

“The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to the innermost parts.”

This is not just a warning about net curtain-twitching neighbours. It is a brilliant diagnosis of how toxic propaganda operates. The verse highlights that the real danger lies in how greedily the listener consumes the lie. Today, in schemes across Scotland and the wider UK, far-right outfits and recycled Tories are serving up these “choice morsels” daily, using them to destroy material class solidarity and replace it with a manufactured poisonous culture war.

Private Screen Strategy and the Recycled Tory Crap

The scripture specifies that these words are like “choice morsels”, meaning they are packaged to look appetizing, comforting, and easily digestible. They are disguised as “common sense” or “standing up for the ordinary bloke.”

Look at Reform UK. They love to pretend they are a radical alternative to the establishment, but it is utter shite. Reform UK is not even a democratic political party- it is a private Limited Company. Its leadership is a revolving door of elite establishment figures, and a massive 92 per cent of its funding comes directly from wealthy ex-Tory donors and billionaires. It is a recycled Tory shell game designed to protect corporate wealth by tricking working-class folk into fighting amongst themselves.

To feed people these morsels without getting caught, they rely heavily on the “private screen” strategy. Instead of facing a proper, rigorous journalistic grilling in the mainstream media, figures like Nigel Farage and movements like Restore UK rely on targeted dark posts on Meta and TikTok. They drop tailored, unverified, and highly emotional rumours straight onto the private screens of isolated individuals. It bypasses community discussion, slipping directly into the “innermost parts” before anyone has a chance to fact-check the rot.

The BITE Cult Model and Thought-Stopping

The psychological effect of swallowing these digital morsels matches what I have said in previous essays and what experts call the BITE model: Behaviour, Information, Thought, and Emotion control. This framework defines how cult-like organizations isolate their followers. Far-right agitators like Tommy Robinson and street-level operations like Raise the Flag use these exact MAGA-cult-style tactics to manipulate people’s innermost anxieties.

A core part of this information and thought control is the heavy use of thought-stopping clichés. The word “woke” has been weaponized as the ultimate tool for labelling and isolating. The moment a working-class person begins to ask legitimate questions about poverty, low wages, or underfunded public services, the grifters yell “woke” to shut down critical thinking. It is an algorithmic mechanism designed to stop dialogue and isolate the follower from reality.

This is exactly what the Apostle James warned about when he discussed the destructive, compounding power of unchecked, malicious communication:

James 3:5

“Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.”

In 2026, that spark is a toxic post on X, designed to set entire schemes on fire with misdirected rage.

“Othering”

The primary function of far-right propaganda is deflection. By creating a visible, easily targetable scapegoat, the wealthy elite can distract the public from the true, systemic roots of societal suffering. They want us to believe that the local housing shortage or the collapse of the NHS is the fault of asylum seekers and migrants.

This tactic of “othering” is a false report designed to protect the true culprits: decades of brutal Tory austerity and the stagnant, uninspiring politics of a mainstream Labour party that has completely bottled it. Scripture explicitly commands us to reject this corporate blame-shifting:

Exodus 23:1

“Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness.”

When we turn on the outsider, we become malicious witnesses for the corporate elite who actually gutted our communities. Furthermore, Proverbs lists the specific behaviours that destroy communal life, explicitly naming the mechanics of modern political agitators:

Proverbs 6:19

“…a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up dissension in the community.”

Jesus completely dismantled this xenophobic othering in the Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37), proving that our neighbour is anyone in material need, regardless of where they were born. He also gave us the ultimate antidote to political deflection in Matthew 7:3, telling us to look at the massive plank in our own economic system rather than obsessing over the manufactured speck in our brother’s eye.

The Blueprint for Hope- the Greens?

I’m not saying The Greens are the new hope. But, their electoral strategies are worth analysing. I remember a socialist friend standing against Lib Dem Jo Swinson. After a hustings in which Swinson stuttered and stammered while trying to keep within the constraints of her party parameters- being careful not to promise too much to the plebs- she asked the socialist candidate, “how come you are so eloquent and confident? The young socialist woman said, “because I tell the truth.” We do not defeat this toxic digital gossip by wasting our lives arguing with anonymous trolls on X within their parameters. We defeat it through material class solidarity and real anti-poverty action on the ground and talking about reality.

The Greens didnt win with forked tongue statements designed not to upset funders, billionaires and a bland stitchup of a leadership. They did not win by getting bogged down in the far-right’s culture-war mud. As figures like Zack Polanski have consistently argued, the way to beat right-wing populism is to offer tangible hope and radical anti-poverty legislation. Offer not only hope, but speak the truth about the problems.

When you fix the material conditions of people’s lives- building council houses, insulating homes, protecting local wages, and empowering schemes horizontally – you starve the grifters of the fear they need to survive.

Proverbs 18:8 warns us that malicious gossip tastes sweet but poisons the gut. Reform UK, Tommy Robinson, and their dark-money backers are serving up toxic digital morsels to divide us. They want the working class to be grateful to fight over crumbs while the billionaire class walks away with the loaf.

We must refuse to swallow the bait. We challenge their so-called patriotism and christianity. We do not need corporate limited companies pretending to be parties, and we do not need to fall for MAGA-style culture wars. True power belongs horizontally, in our schemes, through material solidarity, local organizing, and an unshakeable commitment to real economic justice. Turn off the private screens, reject the recycled Tory lies, and let us build a society based on hope rather than manufactured fear.
