I have only just learned there’s a fascist march through ARBROATH planned for this Saturday, 20th June. They claim there have been multiple rapes by “illegal immigrants” in the town. My quick Google search for “Arbroath protest Saturday 20th June” came up with racist groups in Wales, and in southern England, calling on “British patriots” to support action in Arbroath this Saturday!
My search also found Police Scotland say “we received a report of a serious sexual assault in the Bridge Street area of Arbroath. A white British man arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court at a later date.” Police Scotland say in another Arbroath incident they had to deal with a bit of youth disturbance, but they have NO record of any other recent sexual assaults apart from the one in early June which involved “a white British man”. They say “we are aware of on line posts suggesting this incident involved illegal migrants – THIS IS INACCURATE”.
Look, if you take ANY group of thousands of folk, there could be “some” sexual offences committed by “some” of them. Statistically speaking, there is very well documented evidence that members of fascist/racist groups are FAR more likely to commit crimes against women and children, yet these are the very people who organise hate marches claiming to ”defend our women and kids” !
As I understand it, a local anti-racist group in Arbroath plan to hold a protest agin racism and fascism. They are calling for opponents of fascism/racism to assemble by Arbroath Railway station from 2.30pm on Saturday.
