The Digital Factory of Despair – How They Farm Your Outrage

There is a particular kind of cruelty in the way the modern world tries to steal your soul. We used to talk about the factory floor and the picket line; today, the factory is in your pocket, and the production line is your own indignation. The end product is your impoverishment.
I was made aware of two images via friends on Facebook with “histories” that are currently doing the rounds on the digital skip-heaps we call social media. One shows a man named “James Peterson,” supposedly lobotomized in 1948 for the “crime” of being gay. Another depicts “Alice Thornton,” a suffragette allegedly tortured by force-feeding in 1913. Both are fakes.
The “James Peterson” photo is actually a 19th-century medical study of a man with skin lesions. “Alice Thornton” is a digital ghost, a composite image designed to look like a historical artifact but containing no historical truth.
But why do they do it? Why create these elaborate, heart-wrenching lies?
The Farming of the Human Spirit
These pages aren’t run by history buffs or civil rights activists. They are run by “engagement farmers”. They want your “Like,” your “Share,” and most importantly, your anger. They serve you a story of historical injustice- something we can all agree is a travesty- to build a massive, unthinking audience. Once they have farmed enough of your attention, they don’t just sell the page to a sneaker company. They use it as a backdoor into your psyche.
This is the beginning of a pipeline. Today it’s a fake photo of a lobotomy; tomorrow, it’s a “news” story about how your culture is being “erased.” It is a slow, methodical process of radicalisation that turns ordinary people into foot soldiers for a cause they don’t fully understand.
The Tech Billionaire’s Game
If you think this is just a few bored teenagers in a basement, you haven’t been paying attention to where the money is coming from. There is a “Dark Money ATM” pumping tens of millions of dollars into these movements every year. We are talking about tech billionaires- men like Robert Mercer and Elon Musk- who are bankrolling the dismantling of the very idea of a democratic Europe – and democracy itself.
This isn’t just about “border security” or “national identity.” It is a planned, cold-blooded effort to impoverish and weaken countries like England, Scotland, and Ireland by tearing them away from the collective stability of European Treaties. Weakening networks of allies.
Targeting Democracy: These financiers, influenced by fringe “philosophers” like Curtis Yarvin, view liberal democracy as a “cathedral” that needs to be burned down. They don’t want a parliament; they want a CEO with total power. A King.
The Great Replacement Myth: They fund agitators who push the “Great Replacement” theory—the idea that elites are conspiring to flood our nations with migrants to “erase” white Europeans. It is a lie designed to make you fear your neighbor so you won’t look at the man holding the purse strings.
Economic Sabotage: By fueling movements like Brexit or pushing for the “dissolution of Parliament,” they aim to shatter the European Union and the social safety nets that protect the working class.
The Architecture of the End
They want us weak. They want us divided into small, manageable islands of strangers, bickering over dead cats, fake photos, and manufactured outrages while they dismantle the laws that protect our data, our privacy, and our human rights.
When Elon Musk tells a rally in London that “violence is coming,” he isn’t warning you; he’s marketing it. He and his ilk are betting that if they throw enough money at the fire, they can burn down the old world and rule the ashes. They aim to be Kings.
We are being farmed, plain and simple. We are being fed a diet of digital lies to make us fat with rage and easy to lead. The next time you see a “heartbreaking” historical photo on Facebook from a page you’ve never heard of, remember: they aren’t trying to make you remember the past. They are trying to make sure you have no future.
